Project Focus: Voice of Customer Research and product innovation, competitive analysis of the marketplace, and general project assistance for the team. Projects may also include maintenance of social media and marketing materials, as needed.

Data Engineer

As Data Engineer you will play an important role in helping to develop a highly scalable SaaS application. You must have solid communication skills, be detail oriented, and show leadership and an exemplary work ethic.

As a Data Engineer You Will:

  • Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture
  • Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
  • Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and big data technologies using AWS servers and technologies
  • Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics
  • Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs
  • Keep our data separated and secure across national boundaries through multiple data centers and AWS regions
  • Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader
  • Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems

Required Skills

We are looking for a candidate with 3+ years of experience in a Data Engineer role, who has attained a Bachelors and/or Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative field. They should also have experience using some of the following software/tools: big data tools, such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc; relational SQL and NoSQL databases, such as MySQL, Postgres, Cassandra, HDFS; data pipeline and workflow management tools such as Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow, etc; AWS cloud services; object-oriented scripting and/or programming languages such as PHP, Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc.

  • Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with and optimizing relational databases as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
  • Experience building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures and data sets.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.
  • Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management.
  • A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large disconnected datasets.
  • Working knowledge of message queues, stream processing, and big data databases.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

Quality Assurance Development Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Work with other personnel within Agentis (both technical and business personnel), as well as clients to understand the business requirements of the Agentis Platform.
  • Develop testing environment to handle a multi-tenant application system  including the design/development/creation of:
    • testing data repositories
    • testing tools
    • repeatable regression analysis
  • Setup Continuous Integration Environment to include PHP Unit tests by individual developers as well as testing by other business users.

 

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with LAMP
  • Specific experience in designing, developing, and running/executing testing environments
  • Creation of testing repositories
  • Development and execution of regression tests
  • Familiar with various testing tools, methodologies, approaches
  • Knowledgeable of PHP, Subversion, Zendworks and MVC development architectures
  • Experienced in MySQL, and/or Cassandra data stores is a plus
  • Experienced in working in an Agile development environment
  • Experienced in working with business users, brainstorming, and translating business requirements into working software
  • Ability to work in a dynamic startup environment
  • Familiar with various  PHP tools (Unit,,Code Sniffer, Depend, DCD) Jenkins is a plus.
  • Plus on familiarity with stress/volume testing tools.

Overview

The Solutions Architect/Delivery will:

  • Be the liaison between the utility customer and internal teams to effectively implement a solution that works for each customer
  • Act as the company’s technical resource, spanning the gap between new clients and the data integration team and core engineering
  • Coordinate with the customer to develop all technical requirements and manage data integration during on-boarding
  • Travel with Customer Success and Sales teams to meet with the customer’s technical team and be the expert around data exchange, ETL process, single sign-on requirements for authentication, etc 
  • Serve as a resource on the development team focused on system configuration for new customers
  • Have a strong understanding of technology components – client, storage, compute, virtualization, as well as technical scripting experience to complement project delivery (e.g., JSON, Python, YAML), and experience with automation tools (e.g., Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform)

Required Skills

  • 3+ years in technical consulting, or with a product company with a strong technical background but an aspiration to move into a customer facing role
  • BA and/or MA in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with data Ingestion and ETL process
  • Ability to design highly available solutions with responsibility for infrastructure robustness, including networking, communications, server hardware and storage using cloud technologies i.e. AWS, Azure
  • Ability to effectively articulate new directions, technologies, and strategies to non-technical audiences
  • A strong understanding of the application, server, and network security and compliance requirements
  • Experience with defining and detailing product requirements and launching products/functionality enhancements to meet customer needs.

Overview

Our Customer Success Manager will:

  • Identify issues, complete descriptive tickets in JIRA, and work with the Engineering team to ensure they are understood and completed
  • Configure our solution based on client needs and wants, and continually improve our platform through process and software automation
  • Take charge of project-managing pilot programs and on-boarding
  • Be able to troubleshoot the platform and identify root cause of issues
  • Understand our technical integration processes and assist customers with questions or issues throughout the integration process

Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree with experience in management consulting or strategic account management, preferably with a software/technology company

About You
